Bradley P. Gardner, M.D. has performed thousands of cataract surgery cases (specializing in clear cornea, no-needle, no-stitch, small incision techniques) and Excimer Laser refractive surgery procedures. Dr. Gardner is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology Dr. Gardner completed his residency at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Jules Stein Eye Institute. During his residency, Dr. Gardner received the Resident Research Award for the Jules Stein Eye Institute for his work with the Excimer Laser. He subsequently went on to complete a “fellowship”in refractive surgery at Louisiana State University where he participated in the FDA investigative trials of the Excimer Laser.

Dr. Gardner resides in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Richard P. Cannon, M.D. - Eye Care in Idaho Falls, ID

Richard P. Cannon, M.D. performs both cataract surgery and oculoplastic surgery.

After graduating from  Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Dr. Cannon completed his internship at Health One Alliance, Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Cannon is Board Certified.

The most common plastic procedures performed by Dr. Cannon are eyelid deformities (entropion, ectropion), baggy eyelids (dermatochalasis), scars, eyelid cancer (malignancy), droopy eyelids (ptosis), loss of an eye (anophthalmos), thyroid disease, birth defects (congenital), and tear duct problems.

Dr. Hansen - Eye Care in Idaho Falls, ID

Dr. Bradley Hansen M.D.

Dr. Bradley A. Hansen was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. He grew up in a musical household and participated in honor orchestras throughout high school and eventually attended Brigham Young University-Idaho on academic and violin scholarships.

During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Hansen discovered a love for the sciences and graduated with honors with a major in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and Music. He was selected to participate in the WWAMI medical program and received his Medical Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Following graduation from medical school, he completed internship training at the Sacred Heart Medical Center Transitional Residency in Spokane, Washington. He then moved on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at the New England Eye Center, associated with Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston Massachusetts. He was selected to stay in Boston for an additional year of training where he completed a fellowship in glaucoma and complex cataract surgery working with internationally recognized clinicians such as Cynthia Mattox M.D. and Bradford Shingleton (the previous president of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery).

During fellowship, he held joint clinical and surgical privileges at the New England Eye Center (Tufts University), Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (premier tertiary referral practice in Boston), and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (Harvard University). During his training, Dr. Hansen participated in multiple areas of research with several scientific publications including a book chapter on ocular inflammation.

He is an active member of various professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Hansen is excited to be back in Southeast Idaho to be closer to family but also to apply his years of training to improve and preserve the sight of patients in Idaho. He has a wonderful and supportive wife and four children. They enjoy spending time together doing anything outdoors including hiking, fishing, camping, and rock climbing. Dr. Hansen still plays the violin and enjoys watching and participating in nearly all sports, particularly tennis and snow skiing.

After graduating from the University Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (UHS-COM); Kansas City, Missouri as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Dr. Romriell completed his internship at Genesys Hospital, Grand Blanc, MI. Dr. Romriell completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Kettering/Grandview Hospital, Dayton, OH. He then went on to complete a two (2) Retina Fellowship at South Texas Retina Consultants, in Corpus Christi, Texas

Dr. Romriell is board certified.

James R. Davis, O.D., F.A.A.O. - Eye Care in Idaho Falls, ID

James R. Davis, O.D., F.A.A.O.

After graduating from Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Davis worked at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, as a staff optometrist for 18 months. During that time he was responsible for examining referred patients in various disease clinics. After 18 months he was promoted to Director of Optometry in Glaucoma Service, during which time he was responsible for the entire service and established the first student-staffed glaucoma clinic at Bascom Palmer.

After 2 years as Director of Glaucoma Services at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Davis accepted a job as Clinic Director at the Idaho Eye Center.

Dr. Davis applied for and was granted Fellowship to the AAO in 1996, and has enjoyed many speaking engagements, nationally and internationally. He has published articles in various optometric journals, and has two chapters pending publication in an upcoming textbook.

Dr. Davis performs clinical evaluations and treatments at all Idaho Eye Center clinics. Dr. Kurt Hepworth - Eye Care in Idaho Falls, ID

Dr. Kurt Hepworth O.D.

Dr. Kurt Hepworth is a native of Idaho and did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society.

After graduation, Dr. Hepworth completed a residency at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT where he specialized in ocular disease and primary care. A unique element of his residency was performing specialized contact lens fits at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, UT.

He has particular interest in ocular disease and fitting specialty contact lenses on patients with kertoconus, high astigmatism, irregular corneas, and post corneal transplants. Dr. Hepworth’s research on ocular disease demonstrates enthusiasm about continually learning and progressing as an eye care provider. As a specialist of eye diseases, he has presented his research on “The Treatments and Systemic Associations of Keratoconus,” at national and international conferences.

Dr. Hepworth has cared for many diverse groups of patients including children, Spanish speaking patients, legally blind patients, Veterans, and patients advanced in age. He is very personable and upbeat, and has a unique ability to relate to the patients he cares for. Dr. Hepworth enjoys volleyball, snowboarding, and the great outdoors. He and his wife Kanani are parents of five wonderful sons.
